The Hadopelagic flacon — matte black glass beaded with water in a crushed black void

Case file · Hadopelagic · −8,048 M

The deepest thing we have ever made.

Hadopelagic was commissioned as a scent for total darkness — a fragrance that refuses the sunlit register entirely. There is no citrus, no flower in bloom, nothing that photosynthesises. What remains is pressure: cold mineral air, wet slate, a slow smoke that reads as warmth only because everything around it is freezing.

It macerated for nineteen weeks in an unlit cellar, four degrees above freezing, before the maison would allow it to be smelled. The client received flacon 001. Only eleven were ever filled.
